Success Stories: School Food & Nutrition
Calling all school educators, students, parents, and community partners: we want your school food success stories!
Please tell us your story before Friday May 20, 2011.
There is much to celebrate since launching the Food and Nutrition Policy for Nova Scotia Public Schools in September 2006.
Over the past five years, many have told us stories about how school communities have brought the policy to life, and how this has helped create a health promoting schools culture.
We will be reviewing and revising the school food policy in the 2011-2012 school year and it would be helpful to have stories that show what we have accomplished together.
Share what your school community is doing to meet the policy!
- Fillable PDF form : Please download, include your story & e-mail to Michelle.Murton@gov.ns.ca
- Online Survey form
Use the Appendix at the end of the PDF and survey form to inspire story ideas.
And remember, you can submit as many stories as you wish!
Once we have your stories, we will share them back with you in different ways (e.g., post them on this website; use them for newsletter features; use them to help with the school food and nutrition policy review process).
For additional information, the Food and Nutrition Policy for NS Public Schools can be viewed at http://www.ednet.ns.ca/healthy_eating.
